Skate School

WSC offers programs tailored for skaters of all ages and abilities. We take pride in our qualified coaching staff who teach in a fun and friendly manner so that every skater can develop a solid foundation on which to build a lifetime of love for ice skating.

​

Our year-round Skate School uses national curriculums established by the Ice Sports Industry (ISI), U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA, which have been further tailored to meet the specific needs of our skaters. Our program is designed to teach the fundamentals skating, teaching a solid technique in fun, safe, and stress-free environment.

MINI HAWKS SERIES

(Ages 3-5)

Designed to help the preschool-aged skater develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary to maneuver on the ice.

FREESTYLE SERIES

(Advanced Levels)

Designed to introduce skaters who have passed Ice Hawks 5 to the beginning fundamentals of figure skating. Rental skates are not permitted in these levels.

ICE HAWKS SERIES

(Ages 6-14)

Designed to introduce the fundamentals of the sport, teaching the basics of skating forwards, backwards, turning, and stopping.

ICE STARS

(Advanced Levels)

Designed to teach solid skating foundations in an academy-style setting to beginning figure skaters (Pre-Free Skate through double Salchow).

ADULT/TEEN HAWK SERIES

(Ages 15+)

Designed to teach the same basic skating foundation as our youth series, in an environment tailored specifically for our teen and adult participants.

YOUTH HOCKEY

(Ages 5-12)

Designed to teach an introduction to the basics of hockey skating. Skaters must have passed Basic 3 in hockey skates. Full hockey gear required.
