HOW DO I SCHEDULE MAKE-UP CLASSES?
Please avoid make-ups during the first week and the final week of classes. You can make-up a class by attending any other day of Skate School that the class or class equivalent is offered. When checking in for your make-up, please visit the Front Office to obtain your name tag. During testing week, it is requested for skaters to attend only ONE class during the week (preferably the enrolled day) as this week is only an evaluation with no new content being introduced. Make-up classes are only valid during the enrolled session and cannot be transferred to future sessions.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
We recommend dressing in layers including pants that allow for movement. Bring gloves or mittens and wear thin socks that come above the ankle. Helmets are VERY STRONGLY recommended especially for beginners. A snow cap rolled up in the back will also provide extra padding. Snow pants are great for tots their first days to stay dry as they are finding their balance.

Private Lessons
WHAT ARE PRIVATE LESSONS? ARE THEY RIGHT FOR ME?
Private lessons are a service offered by many of our coaches outside of your group lesson class. It is an opportunity to get one-on-one attention with a coach of your choosing. Private lessons are a great way to enhance the skills that you are already learning in class, to learn at a faster pace, or to supplement your group class by working on skills that might be more difficult to master. Skaters who wish to compete or perform in a recital will also need a private lesson coach to prepare for these events. You can learn more about our staff coaches by clicking here.
SHOULD I START IN GROUP CLASSES OR IN PRIVATE LESSONS?
We recommend that all skaters to start in our group lesson program.
Group lessons provide the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of skating in a fun, safe, and affordable setting that also exposes you to many of our talented coaches.
We recommend that skaters begin to consider finding a private lesson coach to supplement their group classes around the Basic 4 level.
Additionally, if your skater is interested in participating in competitions and/or recitals (available to skaters of ALL levels), a private lesson coach will be necessary in preparing for these skating opportunities.
WHEN CAN I SCHEDULE PRIVATE LESSONS?
You can schedule lessons during any of our public sessions, freestyle sessions, or stick and puck sessions. Please remember the ice time fee ($25) is to be paid to the rink in addition to the lesson fee. Private lessons fees, paid directly to your coach, do NOT include ice time fees. Each of our coaches sets their own rate and schedule. To schedule lessons or inquire about availability, please contact the coach of your choice directly. For additional assistance, please contact Brock Huddleston, Senior Director of Programs.
